Hello, dear MimicPCer; many of you have contacted us via private messages asking how to load workflows downloaded from Civitai onto MimicPC while using ComfyUI. In this article, we will show you how to do this step by step. Let’s get started!
Download the Workflow
First, let’s find a workflow on Civitai. This fox girl looks very cute; today, let’s install this workflow.
Click the download button to save the workflow locally.
Upload the Workflow on ComfyUI
On MimicPC, create and start the ComfyUI application. In the ComfyUI management panel, click 'Load' to select the workflow JSON file you just downloaded from Civitai from your local computer, and then click 'Open'.
With these steps, we have successfully completed the upload of the workflow to our system.
At this point, although the workflow appears to be fully intact, we cannot be certain that it will function properly as there might be some nodes missing. Therefore, let’s click on 'Manager' in the management panel to enter the 'ComfyUI Manager Menu', and then click 'Install Missing Custom Nodes'.
At this point, we can view a list of the missing nodes. This workflow has only one missing node. Let's click 'Install' on the far right to install this node. After installation, the system will prompt you to restart the application to complete the installation process.
Downloading and Installing the Models and LoRAs
After completing the installation of the missing nodes, we may still find that the workflow cannot run properly due to missing models and Lora. At this point, it is necessary to install the required models and Lora.
How to Install Models and LoRAs Using URLs
In addition to uploading files locally, models and LoRAs can be uploaded and installed via URL.
Steps to Obtain the Correct Download Link on Civitai
- Search for Model on Civitai and click on the "Download" button ；
- Right-click to Copy the Download Link:
- Instead of starting the download, simply right-click on the "Download" button and select "Copy Link Address" to copy the URL directly.
Upload Model From URL
- Select the Upload Path:For example, If you’re uploading a model, navigate to the path: Storage > Models > Checkpoints.
- Uploading the Model: Fill in the link
- Finish uploading and installing: click on "Upload."
Install via Git URL
You can also obtain model download links from GitHub.
Click the "Code" and copy the URL
Open the "ComfyUI Manager Menu",click "Install via Git URL" and fill in the URL,click "OK".
Of course, you can also download the model to your local computer and then complete the upload through file management.
Download the "Download ZIP" from Github, don't forget to unzip the compressed file. In the Comfy UI file management panel, navigate to the path: Storage > Models > Checkpoints. Click the file upload button to select the recently unzipped file and complete the upload.
If you need to install more nodes, you can search for the nodes you need and install them through "Install Custom Nodes" in the ComfyUI Manager Menu.
Don't forget to restart the application after completing the installation of nodes, models, and other components.
Even after completing the steps above, the workflow still cannot run properly. Let's finally install a LoRA and upscaling model.
During the model installation, it is crucial to choose the correct path; otherwise, the program will not be able to read it properly.
During the upload process, you can click the arrow symbol at the top to view the download progress.
Okay, we've downloaded all the missing nodes and models and LoRA, now, click “Queue Prompt”. Wow, that's great, we got a really cute fox girl!
